Critical thinking is the ability to think rationally that aims to understand something important in providing quality nursing care. The phenomenon that occurs is that there are many students who are still not active in critical thinking because they are afraid to express their opinions, ideas and are not confident in their abilities. This research was conducted to find out the factors related to the motivation of critical thinking of students of the Nursing Study Program. Methods: This study is a correlational descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach. The instrument in this study uses a questionnaire. The sample in this study amounted to 123 people with a total sampling technique. Results: The data processing of this study was processed using the spearman test. The results of this study show that the factors that affect the motivation of nursing students to think critically are self-efficacy (p value = 0.000), time management (p value = 0.000), and critical thinking ability (p value = 0.000). Conclusion: The suggestion from this study is that the Study Program can apply learning methods that can improve students' critical thinking skills
