Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of listening to fairy tales on language skills in early childhood at PAUD Ceria Palembang. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample in this research amounted to 7 subjects with the selection using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was an anecdotal record and a language ability measuring instrument for preschool early childhood (TKBP) by Susanthi Pradini which was analyzed using a Paired Sample T-test with the help of the SPSS version 26 program for windows. The results of the research measuring language ability, t count (12.433) > t table (2.571), then Ho is rejected or (2-tailed) (0.000) < (0.05), then Ho is rejected which mens listening affects the language skills of children aged early in PAUD Ceria Palembang.
