Abstract

Early adulthood is a developmental stage marked by the emergence of romantic relationships. With the advancements in technology, dating applications have become an alternative means for individuals to find potential partners. This study aims to explore the relationship between sensation seeking and psychological well-being in early adults who utilize dating applications. A total of 192 active users of dating applications participated in the research. Data were collected using the Sensation Seeking Scale and the Psychological Well-being Scale distributed through an online survey. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson product-moment correlation. The results revealed no significant correlation between sensation seeking and psychological well-being (rxy = 0.099, p = 0.86) among early adults using dating applications. It is suggested that psychological well-being in this demographic may be influenced by unexamined factors. Further research is warranted to delve into additional factors that impact the psychological well-being of early adults utilizing dating applications.
