Abstract

Promotion is one way of marketing products and services by companies. However, there are also many small or medium enterpreneurs who still use word of mouth as a way to promote their business. It is still found that middle to lower class enterpreneurs have not utilized existing technology to promote their businesses through websites. Many companies or traders carry out promotions in varoius ways, such as throught social media, instragram, websites and many others. The method used in this research is waterfall, the programming language PHP, MySQL, UML. The aim of the research is to develop website based promotion of typical Batak textile crafts in Siantar. In this case, it can help enterpreneurs in distributing textile crafts to the market. The results can be used by enterpreneurs selling typical Batak textile crafts via websites and enterpreneurs can promote crafts widely.
