Hubungan Antara Pengetahuan dan Paritas Ibu dengan Pemberian Kolostrum pada Bayi Baru Lahir di PMB Bina Marsasi Tahun 2024

Abstract

Based on data obtained from the data PMB Bina Marsasi in 2022 new baby ask muach as 0-6 years old baby 52, the number of babies  given colostrums of breast milk a  much as 17 (32,6 %) whereas in 2023 infants aged 0-6 months as many as 47 infants from the amounth that gets colostrums or exclusive breastfeeding by 30 (23,1 %), so it felt still far from achieving the target of exclusive breastfeeding in 2023 by 80%. Purpose of this study was made to determine the relationship of knowledge and maternal parity with the administration of colostrums to the baby by giving colostrums to the newborn in the working area of the PMB Bina Marsasi  2024. This study used a cross-sectional design or approach with a population of all mothers who brought babies aged 0-12 months who came to visit to check their babies at PMB Bina Marsasi in 2024 as many as 57 people, a sample of 32 people and this study was conducted on February 14 to March 14, 2024 and the instrument used in data collection was a questionnaire. Data analysis with univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of the study showed a relationship between maternal knowledge and parity with the provision of colostrum to newborns at PMB Bina Marsasi Palembang in 2013, namely knowledge p = 0.003, OR = 0.112 and maternal parity p = 0.000, OR = 0.100. The conclusion of this study is that the most related or dominant factor with the provision of colostrum to newborns is knowledge because the level of maternal knowledge about the provision of colostrum to newborns through direct and indirect counseling including optimizing the role of health cadres to provide counseling about the importance of providing colostrum to newborns.
