Analisis Kejadian Skabies Pada Santri di Pondok Pesantren X Kecamatan Ilir Timur II Kota Palembang Tahun 2023

Scabies is a disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei which attacks the skin on humans. Scabies is in third place out of 12 common skin diseases. This study aims to analyze the incidence of scabies in students at Islamic boarding school X, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City in 2023. This type of research is a quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a known population of 165 respondents. To determine the sample in this study using stratified random sampling. The sample in this study were students at Pondok Pesantren X as many as 70 respondents. The research will be conducted from May to July 2023 at Islamic Boarding School X. The results of the study found that there were scabies incidents in Islamic Boarding School X respondents, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City in 2023, namely 27 respondents (38.57%) experienced scabies and 43 respondents (61.42%) did not experience scabies. As many as 44.28% of respondents had good personal hygiene while 55.71% of other respondents had poor personal hygiene, 67.14% of respondents had good water conditions while 32.85% of other respondents had bad water conditions, 50% of respondents had good sanitation while the remaining 50% had poor sanitation. 100% of respondents live in crowded rooms with ventilation areas that do not meet standards. Suggestions It is hoped that the incidence of scabies in students at Pondok Pesantren x will no longer cause new cases, based on this research, it is suggested to improve personal hygiene both in water conditions and environmental sanitation.
